ART I N A PERFECT SETTING
PICASSO MUSEUM - An important collection of the late
works of Pablo Picasso: gouaches, drawings, original prints,
ceramics, as well as a large iron sculpture.
RICHARD WAGNER MUSEUM - Reminiscences of the
composer Richard Wagner (1813-1883). Wagner memorial; portraits
(paintings, statues, photographs), original scores and
autographs, musical instruments, non-European instruments
from China and Africa, above all Egypt.
ROSENGART COLLECTION - The Rosengart Collection owes
its worldwide renown to the unique collection of works by
Paul Klee and Pablo Picasso. While the Klee collection documents
all of the artist’s creative periods with about 120 paintings,
watercolours and drawings, the Picasso collection focuses on his
post-1938 work, augmented by drawings from earlier epochs. A
floor of the building is dedicated to representative works by
over 20 artists (inter alia Cezanne, Monet, Renoir, Matisse,
Braque, Léger and Miró).
